An extensive ground-level terrace made of Dragonwood Natural charred spruce boards was built next to a modern, single-storey house with a flat roof and clinker brick elevation. The warm, honey-brown colour and clearly defined grain pattern create a cosy contrast to the raw, grey-anthracite brick and black joinery. The raised, framed terrace structure seamlessly connects the interior with the garden area.
For the minimalist, cool-toned brick architecture, it was necessary to select a natural, warm terrace finish that would be resistant to weather conditions.
Dragonwood Natural charred spruce boards introduced a warm accent and pronounced grain pattern, while the charring process provided increased resistance to moisture, rot and pests without the need for intensive maintenance.
